By Dr. Hernando Rojas Leguízamo - Rector Colegio Santa María
Dear CSM community:
We celebrate these 60 years full of pride, stories and gratitude.
An honor for all of us who have had the fortune of living Colegio Santa María as
educators and witnesses of the transformation of many lives for the benefit of society.
We remember with admiration the selfless work of its founders, as well as the vision
of the Archdiocese of Bogotá to advance the education of the country and project it from
its beginnings to the global and social responsibility.
This house of our CSM is full of experiences, learning and experiences that are read
as we walk through each space and that memory appears that fills our hearts with
joy and deep satisfaction.
When we understand and know the origins of our institution, we see the courage and
that outstanding capacity of foresight to meet the great educational challenges
reflected in the changing needs of life itself. This is when the significant
value of our past for a solid present and a future full of expectations,
that propitiate the environment that we live today in our school.
This identity constituted through the times, binds us and invites us to remember the
relevance that at the time defined a solid educational project that is still in force
to form integral, wise and competent women. In which the role of women will always be at the center
. A present and future role in the temporal realities, in the defense of
life and in the evolution of the family and society.
The founding ideals have remained and will remain valid through the ages and
with pride we will carry them on our path day after day.
"I maintain that gratitude is the highest form of thought, and gratitude is the
happiness doubled by amazement". Gilbert K. Chesterton
"I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness
doubled by wonder" Gilbert K. Chesterton
May the Lord continue to accompany and bless us in this invaluable journey of educating.
Congratulations Colegio Santa María!
