On Friday, February 9, 2024, the UNCOLI Educators' Summit was held for the first time in different schools in the city. It was a day in which teachers and directors had the opportunity to exchange ideas, share teaching practices and dialogue with peers from other institutions about the state, challenges and possibilities of education for children and adolescents today.
The CSM welcomed members of the Spanish/Spanish Language area. The event, entitled Teaching Spanish as a First Language: Challenges and Opportunities in 2024, involved more than 150 teachers from 27 schools in discussions related to the use and advancement of artificial intelligence, the management of social networks as pedagogical tools, the relevance of literature in a curriculum and diversity in the classroom, among others.
The inaugural slot of the event was attended by Carlos Santacruz and Martha Liliana Jiménez, two experts in education and technology who shared their impressions on the present and future of teaching our language. Afterwards, activities were held for grade-specific teaching teams to share experiences and strengthen ties between our communities
This summit was an enriching academic day that highlighted the work of our teaching staff and reaffirmed their integrity and commitment to furthering the education of each of our students.
